It is pretty obvious the organization has no plans for him. His mins have been cut in the AHL and he has been scratched multiple games.

You can like him thats fine, but it is strikingly obvious this organization has no plans to have him here beyond this season.

My new fetish is reading the comments to Ek's blogs that announce a major trade.

Invariably, the big trade was never even hinted at on his secret premium rumor chart.

The hot part is the inevitable comments from season ticket holders female doging about the inaccuracy of the rumor chart they paid for.

Priceless. And soooooo HOT. (GS5)

I get that Van had to trade Miller.. But they had a bad night.. Think they are worse after the trades.
- Azuredoom

They got better on D but have a big top 6 C hole.
If they can re-sign M Pettersson it’s not a total loss. But if he walks? Woof.

Now do 2Cs that you would trade for as it's by far more what this team needs. And no, Snake is not that guy anymore.

Tavares is currently 23rd in the league in P/G for centres, so I’m curious as to why he’s no longer a 2nd line centre.

For a 1st and a 4th round pick that can tie. Into a 3rd. If that can’t re-up Granlund at a decent cost that’s a high price since he is a UFA end of year and Ceci is, well Ceci. Lol

Hard to argue with this list of greatest Leafs of all time, you can debate the order but hard to argue with the names IMO.

Tavares is about as good of a 2C as you'll find, but also having another middle six centre would be a game-changer. Teams with the ability to hit you with a dangerous 3rd line go deep.

If they use him 15-17 min a night and not top pair like seemingly every team, it should be fine.

That's true to some extent. Going back to Tampa with their back to back wins, nobody had an answer for that 3rd line of Coleman-Gourde-Goodrow. They clicked really well and could match up against most top lines and at least hold their own. They were a hybrid shutdown and scoring line.

Tampa had down the center Point, Cirelli, Gourde, and then rotating guys like Paquette or Johnson (who was fading by then) centering the 4th line. That was three solid centers.

Leafs down the middle are Matthews, Tavares, and then this jumbled committee of centers who haven't really stuck anywhere except Kampf who is locked in on line 4. Domi, Holmberg, Yarncock, Lorentz, McMann, Minten? Dewar?

There's a big drop-off after JT. Domi could be that guy, but just can't seem to make it work. Holmberg is useless. I like Lorentz, but he's nothing special as far as being that guy you can build a scoring-hybrid line around.

And this is true is everyone stays healthy, which.... LOL.

I say a solid 3C who can play 2C minutes if called upon is one of the most pressing needs right now.

Try again. 10% tarrifs on oil and gas, "nothing Canada can do to avoid tarrifs".

His angle here is to crush Canada into submission economically so they say yes daddy we'll join the US.

He's a narcissistic manipulative control freak, just like the majority of his useless inbred traitor supporters, who can't help but tell you how much they love his attempts to destroy our country while they run over to cash their EI cheques.

The games I’ve watched, Ceci was more than capable. Some shifts very noticeable in a good way.

Before he got hurt, Tavares would have been the leading scorer on 23 teams in the league.

Trade Domi and a sweetener for Stamkos. (GS4 on the chart)

His stock in Nashville is low and he might be interested in finally coming home to a contender.

He reunites with his childhood chum JT and they push each other to excel.

Stamkos in his office rejuvenates the PP and gives the Leafs a pick your poison element they have been missing. Imagine Marner, Matthews, Nylander, and Stamkos coming out on PP1. Who the hell do you key on there?

He is your 3rd line center if you need him, but can play up the lineup on wing.

Make it so. Put a package of rejects and picks together. Plan the parade.

Only if Nashville is retaining $ because 3 more years at 8M for Stammer is too much IMO. Certainly too much for the Leafs.
