Its too bad I know, but scalpel to cancer and he's gone. Cant keep getting rid of players he doesnt mix with and reputation predicts it will happen again most likely and thats a risk you cannot take.

Getting rid of players he doesn’t get along with is exactly how we build a winner. No more soft b!tches

He also forgot that we got a 1st back for Miller, so thats 2 1sts, I don't know where 1-2 of those 2nds are coming from as well.

I wonder if these new additions will be better suited to the type of games Toc seem to be trying to play since late last year - low shots, grinder type team.

If Demko can regain form with Lankinen, and M-Petey can shore up the D, I could see it. It won' be pretty tho.

Tocchet is out after this year. He doesn’t want anything to do w this soft ass roster

The apparent Cancer is gone and the team needs to respond. Will take some time to mesh it all with chemistry under Tocchet but moving on from Miller was the right thing to do IMO at this point. We don't need players with his current attitude here especially after the 'time out'...which I lost alot of respect for. Seeya Miller...wish you the best lol

1st out for Miller
1st in for Horvat
That 1st out for top 4 RHD Hronek
1st in for Miller
That 1st out for D Petey

Net loss 0 1sts
Net gain Hronek D Petey
Not bad but down a top 6C in the end but 2 top 4D in return.

Big problem is draft cupboard is bare & no elite prospect in the system. Willander will be nice once here.
Need the big cap space to be a winner on the next big move(s). Add a big UFA is my suggestion.

Miller, Demko and Boeser are out. No chance Hughes stays
- CanuckDon

That is some danger of course. However Miller and Boeser are both replaceable by committee based on what they were doing here this season. Show some fucking patience Donny...

I assure you, Miller was far less of a cancer to his team than you are to these message boards

We now need to play Canes hockey. Never enough speed & team total buy in. Forecheck & pressure has to be RT hockey.

At least need to see the remade D pay off. In the O zone after Hughes the old D was sad. The PP is weakened when already it was sketchy. PK is looking much improved. Need Demko to be much better. Resign Blankinen.

I wonder how long a leash Rod Brindamour has with Carolina.
Last 5 years he has lead the Hurricanes to 2nd, 3rd, 2nd, 2nd and 1st round.

I'd give Rod the Bod a contract asap.
Maybe Nucker would even come back to us.

On the 2025 UFA’s…

I doubt Marner walks but he’d be a great fit here even at his price. The cap is going up crazy high next 3yrs.

Even Tavares as a stop gap if plan B.
Rantinen ideally but imo slim to none chance of that same as Marner. Ekblad the last big fish but doesn’t make sense now.

Leaves it to trade Boeser for hopefully a Sillinger or similar. Boeser+ if needed for a blockbuster & he resigns of course.

Oh please. You argued and argued. And even threatened to beat me up!

You’re just a pathetic old man though that gets beaten daily by your Filipina wife.

Rod has done marvellous lets see how the Canes do now that he has what was missing. PO scoring…Rantanen

In goal has always been the Canes other issue.

Our big lack of playmakers makes trigger wingers less productive. Play drivers have always been a rarity in the NHL. Adam Oates etc make scorers in season & the PO’s when every inch is a battle.

Marner again & idc about Leaf fans knocking his PO performances. Durable & plays all situations a rarity.

If 19 year old Sam Bennett hits UFA, should we go after him?

We'll have to replace Boeser when he walks.
