Yup, he is going to be decent
In the draft thread back then, pretty sure I wanted him at that pick, if Mini was around, I would ask him - Reubenkincade
I remember saying a few times that he looks like Edler 2.0
Yes. They've traded one player and are now giving him time to see how things work out. Absolutely pandering. Get your head out of your vagina and grow a pair. - Load Management
This was always the way it was going to go. They either traded Petey and let things settle, or they traded Miller and let things settle. They're just assessing how both he and the team plays. They have more time to trade Petey than they did Miller. Not pandering to him at all.
Agree, with no Hughes this team has to win 1-0 or 2-1 ... they just can't drive enough offense without him as they rely on him as the only guy to create any space in offensive zone. Only other guys I'm seeing creating space right now (in different ways) are Garland, Sherwood and TBH Hoglander, even if he's terribly snakebitten right now. - Sayros

You are wasting your time with LM. He's big on hysteria and low on common sense.
Of course they are waiting for things to stabilize post trade before they decide what to do. It's responsible.

The clock has been ticking towards July 1st all season. There wasn't really a timeline attached to Miller until there was. Why is there a need to assess a player they just dropped 92 million on? There's a shit ton of pandering to try to justify the investment.
The next core piece to go will be Boeser by tdl. Petey they have until july 1st. They will do things in order if needed. - boonerbuck
This is what I think. It's either take the offer or move him along time. They can't afford anymore overpays regardless of where the cap goes because the beefy part of the OEL recapture starts next season.

They are going to be responsible and not pander to the hysterical fans is what they are going to do.

Cool. I can still have an opinion right? Not sure where the hysteria fits in except for dramatic effect on your part. None of people I've talked about this stuff with have been.

They want to keep Petey. Allvin sees the potential. They're not pandering to him, they want it to work and are doing their due diligence to put the team in the best scenario to succeed.
There wasn't a timeline attached to anyone coming into this season. It was all supposed to work. It didn't. There wasn't a timeline for Miller until things broke down and he needed a fresh start. The implications on the room got him moved out ASAP.
They're assessing their 92 million dollar player to make sure he's going to fit in with the vision of the team. If not, they're going to move him. That's not pandering. McDavid getting his high school coach is pandering. They're giving Petey leash and if it doesn't work they're going to trade him.

Yeah, I think this entire season is a bit of a write off for Joshua, it would be for anyone normally, but especially because of the type of game he plays. - NorthNuck
I’ll give Dak that & he’s not the one to blame this season on. Too many others are a ways ahead of him on the list.
