Bunch of Buzz Killingtons out here. 4 of the 5 best countries in the world battling it out. Would Russia make it better? Sure, but that doesn't make it not entertaining.

I went to the World Cup of Hockey in 2016 and while NA team/ team Europe didn't make much sense, the hockey was still awesome.

Whether it is a single all star game with 2 teams, or a tournament with 4. It is still stupid. I hope the players enjoy a nice break. See you on the other side.

Imo, waste of time. Just like the Olympics, all I remember was guys getting g hurt and messing up the playoff push. Glad my rangers aren’t in the hunt much lately.

Not interested at all... Not planning on watching any of it. Why? Let me count the ways:

1) bringing the season to an unnecessary dead stop right as teams are starting to get in the thick of playoff pushes.

2) omission of what could have been to very good, competitive teams from Czechia and Russia, not to mention other NHLers that are left out because, oh, sorry, just 4 teams!

3) nothing feels organic. the whole thing feels forced, from ESPN constantly pushing this event to the fact that you can only get certain player jerseys - unless you want to spend $500

4) removing a harmless All-Star break with a tournament where players are going to play harder, raising the possibility that some teams lose players to injury. Let's see... if Jack Hughes or Auston Matthews or Jack Eichel get hurt, how many Devils, Leafs and Vegas fans are going to think this garbage is a good idea?

Also, as someone who watched every Oilers game throughout the 1980's...I will agree with you in saying they were fast. But then you name Gretzky, Kurri, and Messier as your three examples.

The fastest skater of his generation was Paul Coffey. Nobody on the Oilers came close.

Glenn Anderson comes next.

Messier was fast once he got moving.

Gretzky wasn't exceptionally fast. His IQ was off the charts. He had bursts of speed. He is the greatest player ever. But not many people label him as fast. More like Crosby than McDavid.

Jari Kurri wasn't fast either. Not slow. But very few people say his speed was key to his game.

So you missed the two fastest guys and included two who were above-average at best. Also overlooking some support players that were faster than those mentioned. Reijo Ruotsalainen could fly. Tikkanen's edge work amazed his teammates.

I couldn't care less about this 4 team tournament. Sure I'll root for the US, but would have preferred a normal hockey season without all the scrambling in the schedule they had to do to accommodate this. The Olympics would be totally different for me. I'd be more invested.

Hello, sorry this about something else. I purchased the season ticket and can not see the complete rumor chart. Any ideas? Thanks Walley

Of course Ill watch every game because its hockey. Hockey with MOST of the best players in the world. Since it is an NHL sponsored tournament I feel like the Russian NHL players should be able to participate. As well as a team Europe. It is what it is

Yes, but the Young Guns and "Team Europe" which would have the Rocket Richard leader and multiple superstars including all of Czechia are not involved...
