Why though? You run the risk of getting stiffed by any college player you draft, regardless of who their agent is. Should they avoid drafting Hagens if he is being advised by KO?

Oh I agree I would have drafted the d last year, but in fairness they probably didn't want to deal with that agent.

If he was a number 1 d then why he drop so far in a weaker draft, there must be a reason. I'm thinking teams are getting tired of that agent way of doing business, I definitely could be wrong but thats my guess

No offense but this narrative is absolutely nauseating and tired. He didn’t “drop” there were 5 or 6 dmen highly rated. Take your pick of the bunch basically. He was there for Philly. Could’ve been any of the top rated dmen sitting there. Philly still would’ve done exactly what they did. Because they suck

They clearly did not expect to be where they are, so theres a chance they may want to flip it to get better sooner rather than later especially with guys like Stamkos and Marchessault signed long term. Could they call up Briere and ask about Konecny and dangle that 1st. The cap gymnastics would be tricky but doable.

You have zero clue about risk vs rewards.

A lot of teams didn't draft a number 1 d because his agent is awful to deal with.

Hence he told cutter to ghost flyers because the flyers didn't want to burn 1 year of his entry level deal.

Not true -- the team drove both of the Cutter and RyJo instances. Cutter was promised to burn a year of his ELC after his freshman year by chuckles
