Well (frank) that, the whole group start to speak english for that one person.

I read it, but cannot spell it well, so I respond in English. If people speak French to me, I speak French back at them.

And while I do read French well enough, I cannot write it well, so I respond in English.

Have to admit Montreal might be one thing and for most of the province it might be something else, but its pretty easy to live in Montreal only speaking english. Some people spend their whole life here, dont bother learning to speak even a few words in french.

Now try to do that as a franchophone in Moncton New Brunswick. Good luck with that one.
