Plenty of questions around whether Cozens is even a center let alone a top 6. Have zero faith in the Flyers development to help turn him around. Could be a case of diminishing returns.

You win that Draft Lottery though, you kind of have to take Schaefer over a C right? Maybe then get a bit more aggressive with a young C. The other Question will be how aggressive will NSH be? If they want to move that 1st round pick, Im heavily in on that.

I doubt Briere is trying to clear cap room to acquire Mittlestadt. Team has backed itself in a corner. The future superstar is here and the team stinks. Team refuses to do a traditional rebuild and sell off quality players to tank. So of course let's announce ticket price increases..

Scouting hasnt been an issue. You also have to remember Scouts dont make the selections. If they did we'd have Heisaknen instead of Nolan Patrick (Allegedly). The percentage of players that become NHL players beyond Round 2 is quite low. 34% of players selected in Round 2 become NHL players. Thats a significant drop from Round 1 which is 74%.

Flyers Scouting and Development is more accurately average. Not good or Bad. Just mediocre.

Apart from the silly "culture" issues and Tortorella being their head coach, the Flyers still have a glaring issue—no high-end elite talent on their roster. At this point in their "rebuild" why throw away any assets only to acquire a 2nd line center? Laughton, and Ristolainen won't cut it in a deal either.

Normally I take Schaefer but coming off a broken clavicle, I might go hagens, also depending on how that injury affects long term if at all

they tank, not by the original plan, but how the season played out. Really we need to thank the crap goaltending and PP for the place in the standings. Not a stretch, they would have between 6 to 8 more points if both areas were just average. Keep selling off and hope to secure a top 5 pick.
