Matthews blows a wide open net . . . he is looking like he's injured again. His shot has lost some zip and accuracy. And the team had at least 5 giveaways tonight - that I saw - where they were forcing pucks to Matthews in the D-zone or neutral zone when he was in double coverage or not even moving.

They earned the loss and still could have come out lucky - but didn't.

Aside from the puck not actually crossing the line, the defenseman could have played it for a good 4 strides but he was desperately slowing down in the hopes of getting the icing. It was waved off well before it didn't cross the line for that reason.
