I hope after these two weeks we finally figure out if it was a leave of absence, or was he told to take a break. or both?

Canadian mapleleaf on the hand sounds like something a soft af east-coaster would get

I can't imagine that one aged well on the old boy. It probably looks like a saggy penis flag now.

Canada made the wrong call on all 3 goalies. Should have been Thompson, Keumper, Blackwood.

Hockey Canada is (frank)ed when it comes to roster decisions.

- NorthNuck

I read somewhere that Canadas coach specifically didn't want Thompson

The guy has only lost 2 games in regulation all season. His save % is .921. Compared to Binnington's stellar .897. My guess is Canada wants to get home early after the round robin.

I covered it in 96 10/11 years after.

It was (frank)ed from the beginning. I was living on the streets in the winter when I got it. Constantly sticking my hands in my jeans pockets to keep them warm kept tearing off the scab so it was faded and blotchy.

Yeah, Hockey Canada is full of people who love "their guys" and pick players they have personal relationships with over ones they have any kind of dislike for regardless of skill disparity. It's why we keep losing in the world juniors.

Probably for the best. We'd have never let you live it down. Or at least I wouldn't have.

But Don said he hasn't been injured, so obviously this can't be true
- NorthNuck

You have to be pretty stupid to believe his agent lol. The GM and coach said he isn’t injured. I’ll take their word on it

i'm waiting for an update on Hughes after Don bumped into him in the garage the other night and found him livid that JTM was traded.
- dbot

He was livid but I suspect it’s due to the extent of his injury

A decent read, Canucks sitting at the bottom of league in the speed department

Lets hear it from the horses mouth. That’ll decide it once for all. Not the team not his spokesman. EP speaks english does he not? Lol

Those numbers present a strong case for night & day on who should be on team Canada.

I wonder if JT will say anything nice about his 5 years here? I mean we gave him the opportunity to play top gun, he might not have got that chance anywhere else.

I doubt he has an axe to grind to the degree he wouldn’t have good things to say. I’d bet a dollar against a nickel he won’t go into the negatives.

Not currently injured. But his injury impacted how he trained (or didn't train) in the offseason.

Petey yesterday: “Yes, the knee affected me in the summer, my training, but again I’m not going to dwell on it now, or try not to, because it’s not going to do anything for me. Just trying to be better every day [and] get better.”
