Fav moment of the game was the Lankinen save on Matthews. I don't think he's used to getting stopped when he gets a hold of one from there and the goalie out of position.

Sherwood looks like a nightmare to play against. Just on the body 24/7.

Really like Hronek stepping up. Not just the goal, but moving it around on the PP. He does it much differently than Hughes, but nice to see him rounding back into form. Too bad Czech's aren't in 4 nations.

As for Petey, won't say too much except good game. I know most won't be happy till he puts up a four-point game or scores a hatty, but would you rather have that and canucks lose, or contributing in most facets and a win?

Good game last night, Petterson was holding pucks and making plays all while shutting down Matthews. Hronek looks good lately even playing with the boat anchor Forbort. DPetey and Soucy look good in a sheltered/reduced roles. I hope Demko can rest and keep training he was starting to look like he was heating up. I am not sure what to think about the deadline but I have a feeling that Alvin will be adding more speed. Seeing how the new guys have altered the dynamic and how fast Chytil and O'connor are I think more speed will allow the team to play Tocchets forecheck focused system. I don't have any suggestions or targets moreso the type of player they will be looking at. It does feel like they will continue to play well defensively and try to bump the offence a bit.

Love what the goaltenders are both doing lets say in the last 10 games, the save percentage is coming up in concert with the defensive structure, makes the team a pain to play against. MPetey seems so chill that he even calms the Chaos Giraffe!!!

It's a lot more fun when they win but great when the beat the Leafs!

If you mean splitting pairs as in Hronek and QH they were doing that before his injury. Myers was playing a lot with QH. But that isn’t static in a game they mix it up a bit because of PP and PK or other match up situations.

To this I would say your top 4 rotations will be QH- Hronek - Myers and now MP3 or Marky whatever the latest nickname is of him lol. They will combine in pairings rotating left and right guys throughout a game.

Then you have the less of a problem but still question mark of the 3rd pairings. I would say they continue rolling the rookie EP25/D-Petey Junior whatever you want to call him lol. With that, it’s a matter of Soucy/Forbort on their off side until one or both might get traded by the TDL. As far as, integrating another rookie or two in Willander, when he comes, and Mancini, when they see him ready for their system.

Question for the 3rd pairing is do you continue rotating vets in with one rookie or mess with the top 4 guys to rotate one of them as well?

I don’t think, knowing RT, at least for this season, if they have a choice, as in available players, that they pair two rookies together.

But yet we are 6-1-1 without JTM in the lineup and Hughes out 4-5 games so far. If Pettersson goes as long as the return is ok we'll be fine. Not sure how much longer this MNGT group will be 'patient' with Petey...
