I was at the game today. Exciting ending! Fun for my boys to be at a game where Crosby, McDavid, and MacKinnon all scored.

Sid took a faceoff early and after that, not sure if this was on TV, he was shaking his left arm, then he didn't take any more faceoffs.

I bet we are going to hear that Sid has a broken wrist and is out for the remainder of the season as soon as this tourney wraps.

Well this tournament has certainly delivered... for the Penguins. Not in the way you want it to but it will work out in our favor. There are A LOT of injuries piling up.

Tkachuks, MacAvoy admitted to hospital, Matthews sitting out (but he always misses time), Theodore out and I am betting Crosby is going to miss time after all of this. Rackell also has the flu but that shouldnt cause him to miss significant time.

Crosby missing any time obviously sinks us in the standings and any other material injuries help boost the trade market.

Especially helping us is the fact that Karlsson was basically Sweden's best player. 3 points and a +2 in 3 games shows that when he is on the ice with good players, he can elevate everyone. We sadly haven't been able to give him that.

This has always been my point about playing these tournaments in-season. You can sink a teams cup fortunes real quick. The teams ticket holders get screwed. As I said before, I'm glad my team isn't a contender this year.

Could also go the other way if a team can Kucherov a guy. We'll see if any of these injuries end up keeping players out of the playoffs.
