Yakutsk has a very nice winter too.

It seemed like the whole US team had a sleepy moment, including the goalie. No pressure on Marner or McDavid, and the goalie didn’t react to the pass at all.

Yeah this was winter of 1978 - 1979 in Ufa and it was bloody catastrophe.
Normally we had -43C for 3 weeks in January and it was pretty good, dry, sunny and nice weather overall.

Why? These best in best are almost always low scoring defensive battles. Even though there is all that fire power out there, defence wins championships.

I mean, does anyone really think they're being serious?!? They're trolling. In a lot of ways, this is not a serious administration, which is why they're the butt of many jokes and rightfully so.

But they're also doing a lot of things that a lot of people agree with.

Trump's approval ratings now are actually historically low for a President at this point in his term.

The one thing they are being serious about is acting in ways which are seriously illegal. Certainly they are stupid, venal, and unqualified from top to bottom but that's also dangerous.

I spent a week in Riga in mid-December. It never got got above -40.

But the two-ish hours of sunlight each day were wonderful.
