It’s too bad that after a long break the Canucks return to action missing their top 3 players in QH, Demko and EP40. It is another challenge against a top team they have to find a way to over come.
Maybe by the game against the Kings this team will finally be healthy again. Well not Demko I guess - Quinn's Quest
So what was this media BS about flying Quinn to Boston to play 😆 |

Thanks man. Should be a good one. The Cougars aren't gonna want to lose 2 in a row here. |

Doing a quick calculation, it appears that the Canucks will have less than 10 million available for next season. Those numbers do not include what Boeser may sign for, if they choose to re-sign him.
There are at least 4 forwards and 2 positions on defense that need too be filled.
Like Lefty has said, several times, overpaying a player or 2, doesn't cause cap issues, when you are trying to get better. - Reubenkincade
Yup 13% isn’t a cap drag yup yup |

Could be ugly tonight for the Canucks with both Hughes and Pettersson out. Jack Eichel was the best player in the 4 Nations IMO, they could steamroll the Nuckers if Lankinen doesn't stand on his head. - Pacificgem
If today’s scores are any indication, those who participated in 4 Nations had a rough go of it. |

How'd you come up with those numbers?
According to Puckpedia, they have 12.6 in projected cap space, and the only big UFAs are Boeser and Suter for forwards, and Forbort and Juulsen on defense. They seem in a fine enough position to fill the holes, especially as Boeser is likely to be traded. |

7years and 6-7m prob for bennett - Retinalz
I’d go higher myself, playoff performance and big game player is the extra salary. I’d be comfortable with 8mil |

$8M? A bit injury prone no? When was the last time he played a full season? Like seven years ago. |

For Sam Bennett?
Soon to be 29yr and has never eclipsed 50 points Sam Bennett? And you want to offer him JT Miller money?
There must be better options? Can you think of anyone younger, less expensive, that puts up similar pts?? |

2015 winger draftees…
14th Jake Debrusk 7m
- not a sniff to make the roster
17th Kyle Connor 7.14m IFA 2026
- sat in the 4 Nation final
23rd Brock Boeser 6.65m UFA 2025
- not a sniff to make the roster
24th Travis Konecny 8.75m next year
- made Team Canada roster
Just looking at Boeser’s value.

Bieksa sure had a laugh with him during the intermission panel.
Man it’s like after such good play before the break he reset to chaos giraffe levels. |

Blankinen sharp especially on the PK. He’s keeping the Canucks in who look out gunned in this one in. They can’t give anymore PP up for sure. |
