All of those players play with speed, physicality, compete, high IQ.

Not one ranger player has all of that

- nyrangers2

The US missed Matthew Tkachuk and Quinn Hughes. Binnington stole the game in OT

Richard Wolff had a good lecture about this some years back titled Capitalism Hits the Fan. Worth a listen.

I’m absolutely flabbergasted that you would be into that guy. But cool

He couldn’t keep up with the pace. The athletic had a great blurb on this, will add when I can finally get a new blog up.
- airjan23

I know he likes to slow down the game. but he has to add more to his play than doing that

For sure, he's been awful.

Igor has just been average also this year, yes the defense has been bad but he has let in a lot of soft ones.

Nobody has been good this year. Not impressed with a single player.

And while he was on ice for the game tying and game winning goal, neither were explicitly his fault. Nelson needed to stay with Bennett and Matthews or Hughes were to have picked up McDavid in the slot, Fox made right play going towards Marner

All I've heard is that talk he gave about corporate profits rising and stagnating wages since the 70's. I know nothing else about him.

As Igor goes, the Rangers go. Nowhere near the Vezina winner he was.
Hoping Zib gets a boost from the tourney. He has been better since Miller arrived.

Yep. It was 100% Matthews losing his man and he knew it too. Fox and Hanifin both made the right reads, Auston tried to cheat and got burned.

I don’t disagree but there’s been a lot of that this year with him. I chalked most of it (and still kind of do) up to lindgren and the teams overall bad play impacting him. I think the whole team is infected with this. He’s always so sad and mopey now, like Mika but slightly more of a pulse

You are funny Tony that think any politician actually cares about the people!!! Ive realize this years ago, look at democratic run cities, impoverished and crime ridden yet the democrats in these cities have been in power for decades.

There is no way to combat the "Woke" culture when the cackling idiot running for president gave interviews where she said, we need to go woke!! The Chinese and Russian governments were laughing at us as we debate what is a woman and how many genders are there. You want to think you are a cat, thats nice but you wont be having Sunday dinner at my house.

- Brukie

Oh, I'm not saying she was a good candidate by any means. But, at least you could feel safe that you would get to cast a vote again in 4 years.
And, now you have every government in the world other than China and Russia laughing at you. Or worse, deciding they cannot trust working with you.

Anyway Seth Jarvis only played 12 minutes in the game last night but was on the ice for 7 high danger chances for and 0 against.

You're not wrong. But, I think Jan, et al, aren't wrong in this case. That was Matthews seeing Marner with the puck and knowing he was going to pass. But, he forgot just who it was that might receive that pass!

I thought Kreider was fine, threw 3 or 4 hits and a shot on goal. Not much you can do playing 6 mins in the entire game

I know you’re being funny but I’m going to choose to imagine you actually just have a burner that you exclusively use to poop on your main account with because it’s the only way you can experience joy or pleasure anymore and you forgot to switch to it before posting

Fox was the closest and the only dangerous play there, given where he was, was a pass. Matthews had to guard the slot

Yeah, he played well. Lots of minutes with half the top 6 fighting the flu. Same for the US. It's too bad that best-on-best still didn't quite end up that way.

He and Trocheck were basically stapled to the bench. At least kreider got a few shifts late in regulation and in OT
