Then that is on the coach - Brukie
I’ve been a Lavy supporter basically the whole time but he’s wearing thin on me too now |

Was never a fan. The only coachs I’ve liked was Gallant and Torts.
Hated AV, hated Quinn. I wouldn’t say I HATE Lavy, but not a fan. |

I wasn’t around here during the AV days, but shocked how many people disliked him. I was a Torts fan, but the AV style of play was a nice change of pace. Those were fun years IMO, should’ve won one with him. |

I feel like back then we were better defensively but not as good offensively and now it’s a complete 180 where we can score enough (most of time) and can’t stop a nose bleed pretty much all the time |
|
|
|
Also, the scoring chances charts etc. do they take into account where Fox is starting his shifts? Does the PP count towards those charts? Bc if so; and I don’t know the answer bc I hate charts, that could change those fancy stats substantially - nyrangers9479
Yea you aggregate the data how ever you want and slice it up to see different situations.

Gallant is probably the guy that got the rawest deal. I think all the others had worn out their welcome and justly got canned. Gallant, idk, that may have been a mistake. These players tho man, it’s like how many freakin coaches do you give these guys. It’s infuriating |

The rangers do not have enough players that can skate, play physical or compete. They have players with maybe one of those attributes but not all. They are not built well for today's nhl

Yea agreed but I think that’s what Drury is trying to fix. Examples: Borgen and JT Miller are at least harder guys to play against.
They need to call up Othmann already, he can skate shoot and be pesky. Which is exactly what they need more of. Berard too. Smith needs to be traded yesterday, and it’s nothing against him, but they need more youth/energy in the lineup |

Berard I was a bit disappointed got sent down, really enjoyed his energy on the ice. Played bigger than his size. |

In terms of a hockey trade to bolster some beef on the back end, Id try to get Lauzon from the Preds and pair him with Borgen.
I wonder if we could swap Miller for Provorov, although its highly unlikely CBJ is a seller at this point. |

1-5 last 6, sub 875 save %, why not |

Chris Kreider ruled out for today. My guess it's his back. They really need to shut him down and call up Brennan Othmann. |

Provorov is a UFA after the season who likely will go to free agency. |

He’s been terrible and that contract will not age well. |

The problem with AV was he only cared about playing fast and with talent. Once teams started to push us around we had no answer. And if anyone ever took 2 min. for standing up for a teammate they wouldn't see the ice again.
With Gallant, it was his inability to make in-game adjustments. The only thing he ever did was swap a couple of wingers.
There really is only a select few coaches who can play to the situational need, it seems. 🤷♂️ |

Miller and Borgen have been solid together. Prefer waiting until free agency rather than giving up an asset to replace one and then having to add another d-man. |
