Toronto, Florida, and Tampa are going to be the top-3 in the division this year and for at least a few more years to come. The exact order is yet to be determined, but these three teams are the best of the Atlantic. It's those three and then everybody else in a crowded pack behind them. Boston is trending down and Ottawa is trending up, but I don't see the top-3 changing. The rest of the division is varying degrees of hot flaming garbage.

Common sense would be thinking that a guy who just signed an 8 year deal, is having a fantastic year yet (again) & loves playing in Toronto will play most if not all of that contract where he signed it.

It’s not like he’s a pending UFA who will have insane salary demands or something. That’s the kind of player you seriously have to consider moving in a blockbuster deal before the TDL if you don’t think you can afford what he wants like Colorado was smart enough to do.

He wasn’t the best GM the Leafs have ever had and he wasn’t the worst. Those who hate him generally refuse to admit he ever did anything good or positive or got shafted by Covid pretty hard.

I didn't have anything against dubas, i wasn't a fan of his trying to outsmart the game but he had some good trades and some not so good trades.....like any gm
