Yes, if Petey goes, you surely lose Quinn Hughes. There goes any star power you once had, in the span of 18 months they are potentially going from such a promising young up-and-coming 109 point team, to a lottery team...again.

See, when it starts to fall apart. Man, it really falls apart. Like boots or hearts, oh, when they start. They really fall apart.

Crazy how much can change in a year.

281 days ago they were playing a game 7 to make it to the final 4 of the playoffs. There's a good chance that in 2 months they're back in the playoffs and we can forget most of what happened this year.

Imagine if they would've kept McCann, drafted Boldy, and drafted Guenther. Fortunes of a franchise can change so quickly with both poor and good decisions.

It’s just hockey, it’s entertainment not life and death. Plus, the Diamondbacks season is almost upon us. God I love baseball.

And Benning still gets the blame for the clear failures of this current MNGT group to round things out.

Love it.

Exactly - how is this Benning's fault? Swedish blind faith got us here. Fire Alvin already

Yes! Heading down for 3 weeks of spring training shortly. Jays and Dbacks are becoming more important than the Nucks

Although I was fine with them moving on from Miller, he appeared to get some instruction from coaching and management to ride #40 a bit, hence when Allvin was questioned about lockerroom stuff, he said, he needs to grow up.
I have liked Chytil for a while, agree that he could be a decent 2nd line centre, hopefully, as he is what the team has to go with now

My point was, they need some top 6 help, badly and Boeser isn't the answer, as he just isn't fast enough, nor is he willing to be a bit of a physical presence.
Let's see how the next 6 months or so shake out, as I am sure if some decent changes don't happen, Canucks will lose some longtime fans.

- Reubenkincade

Boeser is fine if a team can mind he cannot get in on the forecheck or catch any player. With a playmaking C he can score on a high level. Triggerman on the PP. Agree he doesn’t use his body enough & it’s not like he’s taking himself outta the play.

He doesn’t have that here & not many teams have that C.

It would be such a bloody shame to see a Miller-like return for Pettersson only to have him go back to a 100 point player on a different franchise but that's how things seem to work in 'ol Cancukland here lol. If the return was solid then sure probably best for both clubs.
- LordHumungous

Those are 2 big leaps of conclusions based on nothing. What you omitted that makes your post incomplete is 7 more years of 11.6m not 8m. Miller can win FO’s. Miller bangs & fights. Miller makes the PP better. Miller is an a-hole that produces EP acts angelic & sucks.

Lastly the past means squat just a lame excuse & another reach that mgmt & players on todays team don’t gaf about.

Do go on lamenting over your crystal ball.

His passing is underrated (as you have just proven) and his hand eye is incredibly above average.
He is good for +30 goals for the next 4 years.

- TJTD

Agree his passing is highly underrated & he is smart with the puck. Not his fault he has nobody other than Hughes to set him up. Chytil is the best option imo.

Only star power is Hughes. Yes

That 109pt team had many career years going on. It still is about make the PO’s. This is a drastically different roster built with a much better D corp but lacking playmaking since Miller got booted.

I can’t stand Seravli but I think he is right. Teams may take his contract on but they won’t be offering a return
