It happens to the whole team because they simply cant sustain the level of compete for 82 games. Even though TK didnt play much in the 4 nations, I still think he could have used the mental and physical break.

I don’t buy this narrative that the Flyers compete harder than the other teams. Do the other teams only compete for 60 games? As so they are rested going into the playoffs.
When I watch games other than the Flyers, those teams seemed to be selling out to win games. Just last night, Rags/Isles is always a scrappy affair. Tor/Boston went pretty hard. Tor trailing 0-3 at one point, comes back to win 4-3 in OT. Was that game not taxing on them? Teams will have lapses throughout a long season, including the Flyers. I just don’t believe they’re competing any harder than anyone else.
