I honestly would like to see how Laf does with more of a leadership role into the core of this team. Absent of Krieder and some others. The difference between him and Kakko, is I see leadership qualities and a better offensive upside for Laf.

This team needs to find self-worth, and quick.

Just kakko and Laf. Kakko had his chances just not long enough leash.

Laf should have been put on PP1 last year. Krav and Lias were just bad draft picks.

- nyrangers2

I agree almost completely.
At the time of his draft, even though he was a bit of a reach, Kravtsov looked like he had all the tools. It just turns out that he had no toolbox whatsoever. Now, if that was the reason he was ranked lower, than yes, absolutely a bad pick. But, I never read anything about his issues coming out until he was designated for the AHL.

It's like interviewing someone for a job opening. Sometimes you get duped.

Reality is that most draft picks are not productive NHLers and some are just flat out duds.

Ah yes, Hockeybuzz, where saying retard gets the lynch mob after you …but promoting suicide is accepted. Cool

I will ignore the people I need to for my mental stability..and I apologized to Don privately, he accepted and I thank him for that

Anyway, interesting to see 5 forwards on the PP. Idk how long that will last. I’d give jones the gig because maybe that will increase his trade value 🤷🏻‍♂️

So what's your take on whether Rantanen plans on re-signing in Carolina? Are there negotiations taking place?

Canes offered him an 8 year deal at either $13.25 or $13.5 per year.

Mikko hasn't accepted the offer but hasn't outright rejected it either. He wants to spend more time in Raleigh before deciding. The slow process is kinda what got him traded from Colorado in the first place.

Canes will hang on to him and then come summer if he hasn't signed will let him negotiate with other teams early and try to facilitate a sign and trade deal.

Didn’t this happen with Jake tho? 😬 that would be a kick in the nads if he left for the Rangers

Haven’t watched him play at all in Car but the point dip is very eye opening. Then I realized he’s scoring on 4% of shots vs 16% in his career. Flood gates will open at some point.

Problem with Jake was that they played hardball and didn't come up to his number until like a week before he was going to hit UFA status anyway.

They aren't doing that this time.

Hey Jan just want to say thank you so much for your dedication to us. Really appreciate all the work you do. The name calling and personal attacks really need to stop. It’s disrespectful AF to Jan most of all. Just have some common decency. We don’t have to see eye to eye on the state of our beloved sports team but geeez the line has been crossed way too often around here. We all have moments where we react on impulse because of frustration with the team but never towards each other. Do yourselves a favor and have some self control if you disagree with someone’s point of view. I don’t understand how we got here as a fanbase on this blog. This was always a great place to come discuss the state of the team and find commonality. I have been coming on here since like 2007. Never seen such animosity towards each other
- Awolff9

It’s interesting. I’ve been on this site for quite awhile, I think I joined in 2007.

More times then I care to count, my opinions on the Rangers play, or ideas on how the team could possibly be better, have been met with ridicule and outright dislike.

I don’t feel that’s what’s happening here is really new, what’s different is some people who ruled the roost in the past are now being called out, in a less than appropriate way. Others have joined the fight.

Bottom line, dissenting points of view have never been welcome here.

Right. He's created a lot of chances even if it's looked a bit odd while doing it, the points just haven't come yet.

They will.

10-14-07, yes that is correct

I have zero respect for only one person. I generally don’t ridicule anyone maliciously and if I do it’s meant in gist. I probably need to learn that things can be taken out of context on the internet, where in person someone would get it more. I shouldn’t do that anymore. An epiphany of sorts. We all learn things at 50 years old!

You have respect for no one on here because you act like a child and make it about yourself. No one cares if you hate Brukie or what he did/said to you guys in the past. Keep it private and talk hockey/shoot the poop with us or just stop coming around if you can't. Would you like me to copy and paste the DMs you sent me a few years ago? Do i act like you do because you had yet another episode and said vile poop to me? I could have gotten you banned. Honestly you just seem like an bumhole who happens to have some unresolved mental health issues. Maybe the mental health stuff makes you an bumhole? I don't know. You're 50. Take responsibility or find people who will help you.

I don't expect much to come from this but it's my last attempt.

I want to start by saying that I have engaged in arguments too often here myself. So, I do not recuse myself from blame.
But TJ, the only thing I have ever had a problem with from you is that you demand everyone support the team in the same way you do. If someone isn't 100% pumped about a win, or 100% ready to move on from a player the same way you are, you go off as if everyone is against you. It is simply not the case. We all have our own unique experiences and viewpoints. But, we are all here because in one fashion or another, we all want to discuss the team we cheer for and want to find updates on them. That really should be enough to garner respect and fair treatment from one another. I am also not omitting the role of others in these arguments, just trying to avoid us getting caught up in them again. It's time to move forward, for all of us.
I have deleted two dozen comments I was ready to post lately, because I realized they were going to do nothing to promote the peace around here. I'm trying to get better about that and I appreciate your statements to the same effect. Here's hoping we can all improve and remember that this game and this team are merely a welcome distraction to life's responsibilities and tribulations.

Have to be honest, 99% of the time you’re completely fine. 100% of the time ur brother is around here you’re not. It’s like you feel the need to defend him/join in his nonsense.

There is a reason we both went off yesterday..people may not understand it and I’m sure it won’t mean anything. We saved our cousin from suicide a few years back so it touched a nerve. What can ya do🤷🏻‍♂️

The whole thing about that yesterday seems insignificant to you guys, which quite honestly stings. If it’s now awkward I apologize, but I needed to get it off my chest
