Are Edmonton fans broken or just in blanket denial about their goaltending?

If they've had a good goalie since Roloson, I can't recall who. And no, Mike (frank)ing Smith does not count.

Edmonton fans should be lightning torches and gathering pitchforks until their long-standing goaltending problem is addressed.

If he's retained by 30-50% or something for the three seasons that's an easy yes imo. If they could sign Tavares to a 6/7 mil deal they basically would have Tavares/Schenn for the price that Tavares is playing at right for a few years while the window is open.

Would open up line swapping with three centremen that can put up some offense instead of where they are now.

Risto sucks and Scott Laughton hasn't played centre this year. Doesn't really move the needle.

It is a very sensitive topic around here, and I'm loving every minute of it. Their D is also a serious point of concern. That being said, Skinner is probably going to go superhero mode in the playoffs and all will be forgotten.

I agree with this 1000%.

Time to do the hard things to take a few good runs at the Cup now.

I get not trading draft capital for over agers but that's only when Phil Kessel and Tyler Bozak are your best players with a Joey Colbourne as the best prospect.

This team needs more than what they have on the bottom 6...a bunch of league minimums. Needs one more upgrade on the back end at least.

I would throw whatever I could at the Blues for Schenn and Parayko. Both have term, both have the experience.

Matthews/Schenn/Tavares is a very strong C line up...especially if one goes down.
