Not sure anyone should be sold on Timmins and Benoit in the playoffs, and I love them both for different reasons. One injury to Tanev and this team is absolutely f@cked.

Absolutely correct. OEL has been great, McCabe great too, but that's not enough for the playoffs.

Rielly is complete junk this year and should be in a trade for a 3C. The rest of the D is iffy at best.

Leafs need at least one solid top 4 like Parayko but they also need a legit 2/3C type too. We all saw what happened last season when everyone got the poopts or some other "can't play I'm sick" BS.

Cap is going up, can't rely on these league minimum guys for a Cup win. Time to lose some younger assets and picks to get this team playoff ready.

This is the "go for it" era not the "see what the core 4 can do" era.

What about an injury to AM or Tavares?

Leafs have 4 good D that can be top 4 options. It is the best D they have had going into playoffs.

The priority is a C, then a depth D, then another depth piece if they can.

They had injuries to JT and AM and they did fine, and that's because they're stack with elite talent in the forward group.

D has to be the priority... look at how sharty our D looks with Tanev out.

The more I think about this, the more I think Luke Schenn is the guy to target.

He won't be any more than he was a couple of years ago at a 3rd round pick, maybe even less because of his age and contract and he's a hard-nosed defensive Tanev lite that we desperately need.
