He's having the same problems he had in Arizona where he had one good season/playoffs and then crashed and burned... yes, it is on him. He's the coach, if the players were having issues in the room with each other, it's on him to either solve it or work around it, clearly he could do neither. Ultimately it's a failure of leadership from the top on down and JR/PA, Tocchet, Hughes and the rest of the alternates are part of that.

Big game tonight.
4-2 Seattle, Pouty with 3 goals 2 assists

A pouty buyout isn’t actually too bad. I think the cap hit is only around $2MM per year. Rip the bandaid off and buy the clown out

Why? We aren’t drafting a big Canadian kid. I hope he has a nice career in the States

No worries. I've watched this D corps develop into one of the best in the WHL over the last couple of years. They gave Verhoeff some games as a 15 year old at the end of last season and you could see right away he was the real deal. The Royals took him high in the Bantam draft, so not a huge surprise. They've got him paired on the 1st pairing with a good puck moving vet Justin Kipkie.

No, the buyout is actually horrendous and would be on the cap for 14 years.

I hear you there are leadership issues as that's mostly player driven. I'm just confused how 'most' of this is on Tocchet when he was given a completely different roster to work with this year. He is a small part of it but not this large entity.

Yet he had the same issues last season after the All-Star Break, where the team couldn't score and couldn't defend leads and started games slow. That's a coaching issue when you realize that Tocchet is a defensive coach and not an offensive one...

D wins in the PO’s. The PP sucked after a hot start last season. PP still sucks. After Garland the only play driver F is traded. Chytil has helped EP at the root of most of the offence woes.

Hey, I think as captain Hughes shoulders some of the blame too. If Miller and Pouty truly respected Quinn they would not have behaved like they did.
- bloatedmosquito

Gotta think when Petey was giving like 4 mill per more than Millsy and they didn't get along because Petey is an arrogant rich kid it pissed Miller off to the point it couldn't be repaired. I get it. I'd lose my poop

Hoglander has been playing very well of late. Looking fast and pesky on the forecheck, like he's taking lessons from Garland

The better player is gone. Miller’s actions & EP’s bottom 6 play. Easy to see who was right…the villain.

Tough deflections on wide open players.
EP lost FO checking air losing his man.
Pretty useless game & slow as a slug.

Wasn’t worthy being on Team Sweden. Better off using the time for a vacation like he has all season.

Yes getting a lil lost out there a bit. Hronek outta position last goal. Hughes still not 100% & Hronek needs to rip it more.

There is simply not much danger in the offence. The lack of playmakers & play drivers are a big concern. Overall low event hockey results. It’s boring in general with the PP a dead zone. PO’s or not they should be sellers if smart. I’m ok with the wingers in general & the D is fine. Simply no threat down the middle besides Chytil & that alone says everything. Playing against PO chasers & lesser teams we look pretty inept.

Strip off his ‘A’. -6.10 fantasy points in 5 games normally gets a player demoted.

Probably a good time to book out for a while. Pointless repeating myself haven’t changed my tune in a long time.
