Picked up some fishing stuff yesterday, careful to avoid US products where possible. Too bad because they have some good stuff, but so do Canadian, Japanese and Scandinavian companies.

Last year, gotta be soft plastic stick bait texas-rigged. And then spinnerbaits.

Luckily I have way more tackle than I need so I won't need to buy anything any time soon. I am interested to see how retailers adjust their inventory going forward.

It would be fun to take Via Rail and have them drop you off at some outpost where there’s no roads. Rent a boat and room at a lodge for a few days.

Bill Burr with a lot of NHL talk on his latest Pod. Bit of a wah wah baby about 4 Nations tho. Why is Canada the best if they went 1-1 he asks. Cause we won in the final, he knows perfectly well. And we always win when it counts.

He does make a good point though that a best of 3 would be cool.

His podcasts are so funny man some of my favourite riffs from him are just him babbling and he improvs it

My across the street neighbour goes to Camp Esnagi, and I think they take a train for part of their journey. He went there first of June after Covid. Camp was shut down for 2 seasons and he said the fishing was nuts. Fish hadn’t see a lure for 2 years. I doubt he can fish that well, although I did let him use all my stuff. If they caught lots…I would have filled the boat.
