in the 80's the Rangers had this 5-8 defenseman named Curt Giles and to me Jones looks like him, I still cant believe Jones is 5-11
- jimbro83

He does look smaller out there

Kreider can be moved. Not damaged goods. Mika is tradeable if he waives. Think they like him on the wing tho now
- nyrangers2

personally I'm looking forward to years of Cuylle-JT MIller-Mika as a line combo

Yep Drury allowed him to seek a trade going back to December. No bites at all. Why I can’t see anything more than a 6th. He has more value with the rangers since Fox is out. Maybe he plays really well down the stretch and you can move him for more value this summer
- TPC

Would be a win-win. Fox needs to do whatever it takes to get 100% healthy. Have a feeling his knee could have required surgery but he opted for rehab instead. Rushing back for this season would be silly.

Mika being the passenger he has always been. Screw it, if he can be the 80-90pt producer he was AND shows up in the playoffs, dont care how it happens as long as its not blocking Perreault.

I’m a fan of Jones. He’s quick, great puck mover, overall solid decision maker and really not horrendous in his own zone. Shocking how little interest he’s generated, a team could hit a home run with him.
- TC88

I watched him closely last night running the PP. I want to like the kid, home grown etc, but he just doesn’t stand out to me.

Those 2 are all gas. If Mika didn’t keep up he would stand out like a sore thumb. Even if the line doesn’t stick it’s forcing him into better habits.

Berard would fit like a glove on that line.

Othmann could be fun to watch on that line. Sucks we need to stick our 8+ million center on the wing of the top line to get the most out of him, but it is what it is.

it sure seems like they are going to let Quick decide that and he doesn't want to play for anyone else

Agreed. I know we want to manage assets but quick has done everything right by this team and should be offered to finish out his career in NY unless he wants to chase a final cup somewhere else

If they could get last years version of the Trocheck line that’s a top 6 for opponents to fear

I’d still swap Cuylle and Laf hoping that miller could turn Laf around like he has with Mika. Mika is playing possessed hockey since miller got here

Tro is a 3C on a cup contender. Last year was a career year.

If Panarin/Kreider can being moved next summer will be key. They want another center to pair with Miller.

Miller and Tro will be the older vets moving fwd.

Brodzinski just saw over 15 minutes and Jones had the most time from the dmen. Showcasing them?
- nyrangers9479

Both inexpensive assets. Jones in due to Fox injury. Brodzinski because Smith roster management and Kaliyev healthy scratch. Neither would bring back a material asset and each deserved to be in lineup

He just has to get used to keeping his arms tucked when he hits and he would have no issues
