I’m beginning to care less and less, but, one player isn’t going to screw the franchise. Their success isn’t singularly on one players shoulders. If it was McDavid would have three Cups by now to match his Hart trophies.

Huberdeau went from 115 points to being a 50 point player while making 10.5 million dollars a year. He’s not killing the Flames, but he’s not pushing them to success either. Doughty isn’t killing the Kings at 11 million..

It’s not ideal, I get it, but you’re getting close to the drama queen territory. The Canucks have a lot off issues, Petey is just one of them.

If Gus Nyquist is netting you a 2nd rd pick, there is no way that Brock, Pius, and Derek should be still on this team by Friday night. I pray Patrick, and Jim don't come off their number and term to Brock. BB is a wonderful human being that has had to deal with a lot in his personal life, however business is business and if the prices are insane its time to capitalize.

I’m not downplaying it to the point it’s not an issue, it’s a huge issue for the organization, but it’s not going to determine the teams success by itself. There’s a lot of issues! I would suggest even if Petey had a 90 point season, they’d still be a wildcard team because they aren’t playing well as a group.

The lack of organizational depth at center isn’t Pettersson’s fault, signing a poor defensive core last summer isn’t his fault, Demko and Hughes health issues aren’t his fault either. There’s a lot of things at play.

I miss the good old days, when the Canucks had Zadorov and Cole on defense. This super management group let them both walk, shame on them.
Good thing they got those important players signed, Pouty and Hronek.

Again, Canucks fans are getting what they deserve. I swear, the dumbest hockey fans ever are Canuck fans.
