We have honestly had a lot of trades. We may not like them all or care about most but GMs have been active this year.

Like Vanacek deal is definitely one we would have saw on deadline day about 10 years ago. More of these are happening sooner.

I think GMs have gotten a little smarter and when the deal is reasonable take it. Instead of hoping to hold out for more in a few days.

Makes me wonder how many times a GM took less in a trade then what was offered a week or two prior to the deadline because the buyers dried up

Yanni Gourde? I think his best days are behind him. And he's tiny. Leafs need to get bigger, not smaller.

Ferraro is a LHD, which we don't need as bad as a RHD.

Top target should be Parayko. If the Leafs are going to give up picks and prospects, it can't be for a 20 game rental. They need a guy who is here for some term.

Luke Schenn would be nice too. Doesn't look like Hakanpaa is durable enough to fill the role. And Schenn would be pretty cheap to acquire. Would become a special Leafs trivia answer to be one of very few players to have played for the Leafs with 3 separate stints.

Yanni Gourde, acquired by TB, is a two-way centre who crashes the net, harrasses opponents, battles, forechecks, and even hits despite being only 5’9. Plays behind the net and extends possessions by protecting the puck and making low-to-high passes. Poor finishing touch.
