LeBurn is reporting two 1st rounders, one 2nd rounder, and Eyssimont for Gourde, Bjork, and one 5th rounder.

That seems like a crazy overpay to me.

I think I want parayko and Brady schenn. Not sure how to make the money work and what’s going out but I think that would be a huge pull.

I agree but it would require either massive retention from St. Louis (which costs more picks) or putting Matthews on LTIR.

The Matthews on LTIR solution works a lot better. He gets healthy for the playoffs and the Leafs can abuse the LTIR space.

I'm all for the Leafs going for it, but they better pick the right player to spend on. We don't have too many prime assets anymore to spend it feels like, to afford getting this wrong.
