🚨 - Arctic_AARDVARK[{(BREAKING)}]🚨
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Philadelphia Flyers are putting the final touches on a blockbuster deal involving Nylander, Rielly, Woll, Konecny, Laughton, Ristoleinen, and another Flyers prospect. Multiple sources have confirmed this deal will go down early tomorrow.
OMG ITS HAPPENING!!!
Fake rumor which is against the official HB Code of Conduct. Enjoy your ban.
I get makar is the second coming of bobby orr but Matthews value when he’s healthy as the 1c and can take over on both sides is what puts him ahead for me.
He can score 70 goals a year and also have a complete 200’ game. Those don’t come around very often either.

Leafs need to do something. Big, small, but something.
Tampa was rumored to be talking to Buffalo and Tuch was mentioned. Tuch is a big scoring winger and would be a good pickup. He's not a center though.
I hope Tree has something up his sleeve. Tampa paid too much as usual, but they did get better with this deal.
Florida has gotten better.
Boston is fading.
Leafs need to be smart, but they definitely need to add and do it soon before there's nothing left except scrubs and consolation prizes. - GalacticStone

Like one time in the history of the franchise. LOL

I’d take Makar because of age and contract.
Plus, Leafs already have Marner who’s better than Matthews anyways.

It’s like everyone forgets he playing with a nagging injury and is still competing at the top of the sport. When he’s healthy he’s as close to a 1.1 in the game

He's the best player the Leafs have ever had and its not even close.

"You can never have too many good players. So, what I'm trying to do is use my draft picks to acquire as many good players as possible to have the best team possible... I'd rather have a lineup full of good players than bank a ton of draft picks." - Julien BriseBois.
Gourde gets all the attention, but Bjorkstrand scored 20+ goals six times playing in Columbus and Seattle. He's the best player in that deal.
Hagel - Cirelli - Bjorkstrand is a solid second line.
That bumps Nick Paul down to line three with Gourde.
Chaffee - Gourde - Paul - not gonna light the world on fire, but better than what they had yesterday.
They have less than $900k in cap now, so I assume they are done unless it's salary in and salary out.
They gave up none of the decent prospects that they have.
We don't want these guys in round one. Let them and the Panthers beat the hell out of each other.
NEW: @FriedgeHNIC on the Leafs deadline plans as it fast approaches:
Blues GM Doug Armstrong has set a high price for captain Brayden Schenn and won’t move him unless a team meets that demand. That has likely made some teams hesitant. However, among potential suitors, Toronto seems to have the most interest in Schenn, given that Berube has a history with him, having won a Stanley Cup together.
The Leafs have to decide if they’re willing to pay the price. It’s also believed Toronto is looking at Carolina forward Mikko Rantanen. While he’s not a center, he’s the kind of player they’d at least want to explore if he’s available.
If Rantanen becomes a legitimate option, that’s where they’d likely commit their best assets.

I just hope they don't overpay for Schenn (or Tanev). Schenn is 33 with some hard miles on him. I'd rather they go big like Boeser or maybe bigger like Rantanen. Although, I don't know how the hell you make the money work on something like that without trading away a core piece in the process. - GalacticStone
I honestly dont even want schenn, this team is old enough.

Yeah put me as all in on Mikko if that’s the case - Santo_44
All day if Rantanen is available! Big strong scoring winger who has won and performs when it counts. All in for sure in that player.
