Blues GM Doug Armstrong has set a high price for captain Brayden Schenn and won’t move him unless a team meets that demand. That has likely made some teams hesitant. However, among potential suitors, Toronto seems to have the most interest in Schenn, given that Berube has a history with him, having won a Stanley Cup together.

The Leafs have to decide if they’re willing to pay the price. It’s also believed Toronto is looking at Carolina forward Mikko Rantanen. While he’s not a center, he’s the kind of player they’d at least want to explore if he’s available.

If Rantanen becomes a legitimate option, that’s where they’d likely commit their best assets.

Man, I hate these late Leafs games. If it's early in the season, it's easy to mail it in and watch the first period and then go to bed. However, since they're in a hotly contested race for first, it's hard not to watch.
