Elliotte Friedman on NHL Network I think Toronto looked into O'Reilly as well and they were told he didn't have interest in that reunion |

Is the pulp mill stinky?
Damn…late. - Woderwick
Not really. There’s a very slight sweet smell but nothing that bugs me. Moved from two blocks from Hamilton Harbour, so no biggie |

What's the injury? Do we know if he'll be ready by the playoffs?

Knee surgery. Six weeks, he's back.
I wouldn't doubt it being one of those injuries he could have played through but they told him, get the surgery and it's easier to trade you so they both win.
It's exactly the type of trade Vegas would make.
Vegas probably grabs Rantanen if he actually gets traded. That's totally their style too. |

I hope Tree has something up his sleeve. He's been awfully quiet so far. Friggin arms race in the Atlantic.
I'll vomit if Vegas gets Rantanen.

Shanahan is due for some meddling soon. Treliving is the AGM, just like Dubas was. |

No state income tax, Cup contender, revenge against the Avs for trading him, they have 16 AAV to re-sign him and no major UFAs except Adin Hill whom they could keep if they traded a middle-six forward to clear the space to fit Rantanen.
Expect him to go to Vegas. |

Yeah, that sounds like a Vegas move. Just as long as he goes out West somewhere. We don't need him going to (frank)ing Florida or Boston.

If Boston moves on from Marchand (or if he takes a Bergeron contract), they have a lot of space to make him the new face of the franchise and team up with Pasta pretty well.
Rantanen has a lot of options. |

He is. It's a curious decision for Edmonton who already have Bouchard and Klingberg who are too offensively minded, Nurse who is not very strong defensively and Stetcher and Kulak - who could both be better. With their glut of offensive-minded players I really thought a guy of Walman's calibre who was more of a stay-at-home mindset would have been to their advantage. Walman feels like he's going to add to the porous nature of the backend.

The Oilers' strategy is to win every game 13-11. |

So if it's a 'normal' trade deadline we should see a couple big trades in the next few hours ...then a day full of small bullpoop tomorrow. |

Rock solid asset management from SJ though. Get paid a 2nd round pick to take him, and then a year later trade him for a 1st lololol. |

Everywhere he went in Toronto there was a Tim Hortons. The flashbacks were killing him.
