Effectively Carolina trades Rantanen, Necas, Jack Drury, a 2nd, 3rd and a 4th for Hall, Stankoven and 2 1sts

That's not a trade that a team thinking they are winning the cup makes. They need to flip those 2 1sts for something big.

Carolina taking heat for being forced to dump Rantanen but at the end of the day they gave up Necas for Stankhoven and a couple firsts. That isn't bad at all.

Meh, I don't have the entire scenario listed here... but I really think Stankhoven is a good player.

I do feel a bottom 6 forward is going today though. You can have backups for injuries but if we assume Patches comes back for playoffs and has anything left in the tank, we have too many 3rd liners realistically.
