I get what you are saying obvioulsy, but if there are no impact players, you dont have to make a move. A move for the sake of it is typically a bad trade.

I feel like Cozens can be an impact player, Rantanen, Byram (if available), Parayko (if available).

When you look at who is left out there etc. Marchand to the Canes looks likely

They just dont have the assets to make that happen. I cant imagine Boston trading Marchand to the Leafs, would love it though.

Kind of unfair to include Rantanen in that since he's also gone. Carolina STARTED with Necas and Drury and some picks and kind of just shuffled the deck chairs

#2: Logan Stankoven, Taylor Hall, a 1st, a 1st

. . .and I think the answer comes down to where you are as a team. If you're building, #2 is fantastic. If you're trying to win the cup, #1 was the better position. If you put that in this term, though, you should really consider:

#3: Mikko Rantanen @ 50% retained

I thought of Rakell, but he's an RW. I know Willy could slide to LW, but you need a guy who is defensively responsible and I don't think of that when I think of Rakell.
