For the right players sure. I like Carlo alot as a player, but the Leafs need a top (RHD preferably) that has offense. They dont have that still.

I wont hold my breath. Even with that, its not enough. All of the other guys on the roster have zero offensive game minus and aging OEL.

There's a presumption that Pittsburgh may have retained, but I don't know. I think I heard that would use up their last retention slot, so it would seem like a bad idea.

Nothing official, but I don't think there is any retention. It was simply a salary dump for the Leafs, and we get a late round pick in return.

the problem is everyone gets more expensive so unless you take on old contracts the cap increase just goes to, and probably doesn't even meet the demand, of contract increases
