All boxes ticked, not a total gut job either, just dumped the jank we didn't need/want and gave up Minten, who wasn't our top prospect and honestly hasn't been awesome in the AHL this year at all.

According to kyper, he is saying the leafs offered two 1st, cowen and minten for Rantanen and were gonna offer hin 8 year $105- $110m deal
But canes didnt want to face the leafs in the playoffs or down the line (plus wanted an nhl'er) and they decided on dallas

the obvious move is to build a more balanced team for next year👍

this means bringing in a real leader to turn the hippity hop off in the change room and put some heavy metal music on and get the bois ready to play HOCKEY instead of shinny and hoping that the game softens up to become a skills competition like the nba or flag football like the nfl🤦🏿‍♂️

in the short term, this means bringing in poon jenner to be the 3c and giving the grim reaver more ice time to protect our little ice dancers👊
