Danny and Jonsey didn’t look like they were too busy working the phones tonight - jd250
That stood out when they showed them in the box. I expected to see DB texting or talking and he wasn’t. Maybe the cameras caught him in that one moment where he wasn’t taking calls or making calls haha.

Now that Rantanan is going to Dallas and Nelson went to Colorado, teams will turn their attention to Laughton. However, Briere is holding the line, it’s a 1st in 2026 or he is not moving Laughton, period. We saw what Tampa gave up for two 4th liners, and thus Briere wants more than a 2nd round pick, which he can get anytime for Laughton. - jd250
Those 2 players are in a different universe compared to Laughton. Not buying they will turn their attention to him.
Those 2 players Tampa acquired are not 4th liners. Tampa wanted them over Laughton should tell you something. |

Just listening to Dreger and C hris Johnson on TSN radio, they both believe DB will
" hit a grand slam" today due to shrinking market. I guess we will see

Just doing my bi-yearly drop in to remind everyone that the Flyers/comcast single-handedly killed my interest in my far and away favorite sport.
One day they’ll get a GM/ownership group that doesn’t settle for perpetual absolute mediocrity. Today is not that day.
I was gifted tickets for a game later this month and I feel obligated to go but can’t even feign any sort of excitement to watch players that should never have been extended and are unbelievably somehow still here in 2025. - hereticpride
I hear ya. Comcast is a horrible owner. It’s nothing more than a spread sheet to Comcast. I loved it when Ed Snider (even under Comcast’s ownership) ran the the Flyers. The team needs an owner with an ego and a passion. Look at Vegas and now Utah. It’s personal for them like it was with Ed. |

Every year they seem to want a 1st for Laughton and every year they don’t get it. Seems like this has been going on for years now. |

The value of locker room presence is so unbelievably over inflated by this franchise, but it makes sense. Bunch of never good enough guys being led by a front office of never good enough guys. They will always look to off ice intangibles to justify their place.
If the locker room is fragile, which is something suggested in the press year after year with this franchise (regardless of the coach, players, GM) it’s because they all know Comcast is incapable of sorting out a goddamn thing. Franchise has been in GM carousel mode since some of these players were children. Imagine getting drafted into that nonsense. - hereticpride
Buium was not going to sign here. They are a bottom 5 nhl franchise |

Well, we will know at 3pm what DB decides to do. Sitting on his hands in a sellers market is an awful look. Can’t wait to hear the press conference about culture and the locker room.
They have sold culture bingo buzzwords for the past 3 years and we are no closer today.
Can’t wait for the press conference… A New Era of Orange seems to be exactly the old era of ineptitude and embarrassment. |

There’s a saving grace that Toronto and Winnipeg haven’t done anything yet. So that is still in tact and there could be a deal here |

They just need ownership that wants to win. Comcast clearly does not give a damn what this franchise does on the ice so long as they aren’t losing money. If they did care we wouldn’t get stuck with GMs like Fletcher and Briere. Comcast has to be the richest ownership group in the league I’d think. The fact they can’t pry a good hockey mind from a smaller franchise has driven me crazy for years now.
Thats a whole other can of worms though. I can’t believe people are still spending money on the team. I had enough years ago. |

The crazy thing is they give them all the resources they need.
They just refuse to clean out the whole lot and bring in an entirely new management team. They all need to go. |

Bad ownership
Bad management
Bad coaching
Average players
Bad drafting
Bad development
Let’s see the the Flyers fans defend this franchise the rest of the way. - Striiker
the triumvirate needs more time -- you are just a hater -- they have SEVEN (7!) picks in the 1st 2 rounds of this draft! Jett, Gill, Bonkinator are all up and coming players

I'll pump the breaks on giving Briere credit for Michkov. He fell into their lap. Heck, my mom could have made that pick. |

Not really sure its a plus that Tronno and Winni has not done anything. It has been a sellers market and w nearly all centers gone. Why is either team going to overpay for Laughts? Something tells me they are not making a move and kicking the can down the road (AGAIN).
We will know in a few hours... |

Today is the day. In a seller's market, I sure hope Briere has more to show then CLG's '25 2nd rd pick. Currently, sitting third from the bottom in the Eastern Conference, but refusing to tank. He needs to get something done today. |

It’s the same shizz, year after year. We need to start seeing some tangible progress here and something close to an actual plan being executed. No more spinning their wheels in the mud. |

After losing out on all the centers last draft you’d think he would have made sure he had an extra first by now. |
