I fail to understand why a 2nd is not a good enough return for Laughton. Especially if it is a 2nd plus. They literally just got back a second as the best asset for TWO players.

Its not official yet. Pettersen is too old for PHI IMO. Flyers need too miuch to be able to contend during Pettersens prime. What if PHI is involved in the BUF\OTT deal. Does Ottawa really need Cozens? They got Pinto and Stutzle. What if theres a 3 way deal here and Pinto or Cozens are coming here? Unlikely but possible

I think it’s simply that Briere is in over his head. He petrified of potentially losing deals that’s why he took Drysdale because no other team offered two assets and it’s why he had Calgary throw in a 7th in 2027.
