Way to weaponize that salary cap space! Retain 50% to get a 3rd round pick that’s only 2 years from now! Excellent job Danny! Go ahead fellow HockeyBuzzards… tell me I’m wrong! In Danny We Trust! - mikeyo27

Kuz and a 7th plus 50 retained for a 3rd
That’s ugly - corduroy
LOL what? What did you expect for him? 3rd is a reasonable return. Teams aren't lining up for the guy. He is also a UFA at the end of the year. Without retention we likely keep Kuz and let him walk for nothing.

Frost and Farabee, two first round picks get turned into 2nd, 3rd and 7th round picks, plus whatever cap savings come from it. Feels a bit underwhelming |

No doubt it was an easy move. Baby steps forward. If this is his only move today, Briere needs to get shredded.

See, I agree... take the 3rd and thank him for his services. Why would a rebuilding team sign a 29 year old to anything w term?
Oh wait...

If someone went back 10 years and complied all the common sense moves the Flyers didn’t make this team probably could’ve drafted themselves into being a power house right now. Even with their questionable drafting history.
Flyers got embarrassed in the 1960s once tho so we can’t ever have nice things. |

something has to be done. It is astounding how this guy still has a job. I guess all those advisors and power point decks never really worked out.

His name is Rocky as a coach on the Flyers…think of the PR nightmare for Comcast if they let a Philly coach named Rocky go. |

Thats because you are hung up on one fact. They USED to be 1st round picks. Their value is not of two 1st round picks. Farabee might be able to bounceback and be a top 6 player but this season he showed severe regression. Frost seems like hes a 3rd line C. Hes 25 years old and has a career high of 46 points. Even now he only has 5 points in 12 games with CGY. Farabee has been worse. Think just 2 Goals

Fair enough, although Farabee just had a career season last year on a middling team and is still in his mid-20s. I contend they gave up on him too quickly. |

Back when we had Giroux and Voracek. I dont think Rocky is a good Coach but I think there is an issue wither personnel as well. Without a top C, that really hurts the PP

Luke Schenn to the Jets for a 2nd and a 4th. This sellers market is crazy. Briere needs to have a big ending. |

My point is that it doesn't always fall on the coaches. Who on this team can run the pp?
Tk is in the g spot for the one timer and he inconsistent.
I agree Rocky is bad but he is not on the ice with the players
They make too many passes looking for the perfect shot
