I didn’t think Laughton was going to be traded. I’m happy with the 1st and prospect DB got. I guess $1.5 mil retained for two years isn’t a big deal. Top 10 restricted 1st kind of takes the shine off things, but whatever. Kuzmenko gone too is a good thing. He was playing well. We didn’t need that. I’m feeling cautiously optimistic

No one is trying to brag but you, You act like your bottom 6 is something special. Robertson sucks and is often scratched, Patches is made of glass and in a retirement home, Holmberg sucks. Mcmann is medioce, Jarnkrok cant stay healthy either.

Laughton is a 3rd line player and you are getting the same 3rd line player. Laughtons played with Brink, Michkov, Kuz who was traded today, Foerster, Farabee who suck this season was a lot better last season

The whole reason Laughton was added was because Leafs bottom 6 is weak.

Just that Laughton will be playing with better players in TO than in Philly. You’re underestimating McMann, he’s been great. Nicky Bobby can score, he’s getting a lot better. Hasn’t been scratched in like 40 games. Patches was excellent before he got hurt, but yeah he has trouble staying healthy.

He played with MM, TK, tippet and others all year bouncing around diff lines. Not like he was stuck with Poehlig and Hathaway. Plus he isn't really that good.

Leafs need stability and toughness in the bottom 6.

He’s from Toronto (like half the NHL) and is going to a good team. Berube will use him a lot. I think he’ll get up for the occasion. No one is asking him to score every night, or kill penalties. The Leafs had a specific hole they needed filled, and Laughton does that.

I'll say it. He's done well today. Nothing terrible. I would still move Zamula so I can open a spot for Grans or Andrae.

I'll say this...He has held me over now but then I need to see what happens in the draft and offseason.

I like Grebenkin more then Minton. So that is a nice.

Oh don’t get me wrong I see many paths. Unfortunately they aren’t looking to do that. Let’s be honest the only reason laughts traded today was because the outcry simply became too loud. Not because of any real plan.

I’d love to see a real rebuild plan but as I’ve said in the past the tk decision was the back breaker for all that. That decision was the true story no matter how anyone could look at it.

I’d love nothing more than to see them trade him before no trade kicks in as it would pull me 100% back in to idea of a rebuild taking that next step.
