I would go all in on Rantanen if he was willing to sign a long term deal with the Flyers. I wouldn't mind seeing Luchanko, Rant and Michkov together next season. I'm not sure where Rantanen would want to play, but I doubt it would be for the Flyers, unless he likes to block shots.

I don't have a lot of faith in Briere, because ultimately, I think there are other people overseeing him and his decision making. I think he's basically a puppet. Also, the way the org., including Briere, was acting during the draft on live TV, didn't inspire my confidence in them. Those individuals are seeing to it that we massively overpay players to bad deals, and constantly running the team up against the cap. They NEVER have any cap room or flexibility. They are always never good enough to contend, and yet not allowing themselves to bad enough to tank, for a full season. The Flyers organization, has never learned how to do things properly, in the hard salary cap era. It's the same ol' you know what, every year, and I'm sick and tired of it. I'm in my fifties, and I probably won't see this team win a Stanley Cup. Flyers ownership and management are their own worst enemy.

Besides Rantanen and Marner, who are these Big Game Hunting players the Flyers are supposedly hunting for? PLease don't tell me they will be throwing 8 digits at Tavares or Bennett. Do they plan on hamstringing themselves and throwing a big offer sheet at McTavish?

There are no Centers that fit that criteria in UFA or RFA. So a trade? Who is trading a big name player like that?

- MBFlyerfan

There are none available. What they are talking about is the zegras’s of the world. In their eyes these players are top level. Like jd was in cutter trade. They couldn’t even see lacombe should’ve been the target. If they were going with ducks. They simply suck from top to bottom. Until CUMcast sells team this is what flyers fans can expect. Complete incompetence and nothing more. But hey there’s gritty to distract from hockey. They will market market market the (frank) out this product

(frank) no. No one is sitting. Gear up for players that SHOULD be moved to come up injured

So based off of DKos post about the Inqy article Danny said they will not be making moves? Can someone tell me if that is true or am I just having an old acid flashback?
- Flyfly

Maybe I misinterpreted what he said. When asked if he’s “big game hunting” at the deadline he said no. I took that to mean that he wasn’t really planning on making any moves until the offseason.

Lmao b+.

He at best is at F

If you can grade below F then then that’s the grade

LMAO what a joke and troll post. F? Seriously?

Nails Provy trade and flips one of the cap dumps for another first

Lands MM and gets him to come over early

Stacks the team with 3 1sts and 4 2nds this draft

Clearly that all equates to an F. Give your head a shake. You claim people drink the koolaid yet you are no different, just the opposite side of the spectrum

Talking Bennent not kh, kh is the example being used that they will overpay for a position of need that does not move the needle in improving the team

How did signing him work out for the Flyers? How many more years are the flyers paying kh NO TO PLAY for them?

Stacks the team huh? At best they may get one top 6 player out of all those picks. The rest will be more of the same, 3rd and 4th liners like Scott Laughton, Ryan Poehling, Morgan Frost, Jakob Pelletier who were all drafted in the 1st round in the 20's. And that is IF they get lucky.

This draft is fools gold.

I'll give Briere a C for the other things you mentioned.

DiMarco reports the Devils are interested in Laughton but will not part with a 1st round pick unless they are getting a 1C. Just another example of what the market is for Laughton, and its not a 1st round pick. Briere should take a 2026 2nd rounder if a team offers it and move him.

Frankly, if he does not get traded b/c of a 1st rounder DB needs to take the blame. They were rumored to be offered a 1st two years ago.

At this point I agree if it is a 2nd - take it and move on. As fans it would be great to stop talking about Laughton.
