I wonder if some of these high end offensive players don't want to play for Brind'Amour long term.

He just wants to get paid. I would stay clear of this. He wants to test UFA...and will likely get paid and go to CBJ.

It sounds like Colorado wasn't willing to go as high as his ask. He hasn't had a ton of success in Carolina thus far with 6 points and -3 in 13 games, plus they have a history of not wanting to pay big money.

He may not want to rush things with a team like Dallas and would prefer to just play out the season and have an open bidding war for him in July. I can't say I blame him. Why let Carolina control where he ends up the next 7-8 years if he can just wait a few months and have his pick?

Also Jimmy - I looked back at that survey and you were correct, Carolina was rated worst facilities in general, not for opposing teams. The question on best facilities was for opposing teams which is what I was thinking of.
