That’s the hard thing with trades, they may have been but we may never hear about it. - fish_hoof
There's a reason for the old adage:
99% of players get discussed, 1% get traded
Unfortunately, those discussions don't become public until 20 years after the GM retires. |

Islanders told Palmieri they are not trading him, they should also tell him he can grow a beard, for all our sakes |

Lou just got an absolute haul for an expiring asset in Brock Nelson:
To Islanders: Calum Ritchie, a 1st-round selection in the 2026 or 2027 NHL Draft, a conditional 3rd-round pick in the 2028 NHL Draft, and defenseman Oliver Kylington from the Colorado Avalanche, in exchange for Brock Nelson & William Dufour. - airjan23
Lou may have just "won" deadline day with this steal!
And to think --- Nelson could simply re-sign and go back to the Islanders this summer! |

I’d be very upset. But how does Beaivillier get a 2nd and Smith gets a 3rd and washed up prospect? This is what makes me question Drury. |

I would try to simplify it. We got pick 65-70 and a 23 yr old forward (former 1st rd) for a 33 yr old Reilly Smith. Washington gave up pick 50+ for a 27 yr old. Not too bad.

Washington pick at end pf second and Sharks at top of third are pretty much the same. Negligible difference in terms of pick variation. |

Drury handing out NTC with every contract. Not sure about AB's contract. |

7 of his 8 teams are allegedly canadian teams. Whatever, not going to drag this out, just giving my opinion. |

Interesting. Any player traded from a Canadian team to a US team can’t play until late next week bc of the work visa issue. |

Its a 5 pick swing. Drury could have gotten a 2nd but also wanted the prospect. Not a huge difference |
