Palms had his chance to ask for a trade.

For those that haven’t already they will be wishing he had in no time. Yet another example of terrible asset management.

Since the we are down to the last few games. I decided to run the draft simulator. No matter how many times I ran it. This prospect came up.

The Islanders can use a lot of things and especially defense. I just do not like the idea of Lou still calling the shots. The next GM should have a strong scouting background. Look to teams like Colorado, Dallas, and Tampa.

I do not disagree with you. We have to hope for the best and brace for the worst.

There should be no one safe on this team when it comes to evaluating the future. This is just a disgrace. There is no heart or leadership on this team. NONE.

Management and players are too complacent. They want things to continue as they are with no expectations. The two ECF's runs were good enough.

19 OT Games...You win half of those game in regulation you are looking at playoffs. Mind you yes, this team does not deserve the playoffs. But this is just another example of how inept this team has been.

Somehow it seems fitting that Palmieri attempted the last meaningful shot of the season.

Lack of Islander talent really shows during the SO.

When is Lou doing the interview to take blame for this mess?

Hey remember when the guy that knows much more than any of us could ever hope for thought Anthony Duclair was going to be a difference maker this season. I do.

We'll see how things will go soon. If they keep Lou then we can expect more of the same.

Patrick has been coaching like he wants out. Maybe he thinks Lou is coming back?

I disagree. I think Roy has been coaching the best he can.

Patrick did some odd things during that Ranger game. I cannot see Patrick being able to coach under Lou another year. Patrick will blast Lou with the cameras running if Lou were to try to undermine Patrick again. Patrick looks very unhappy and doing his best not to unload again like with Duclair. There is obviously a huge issue between the GM and coach.

The issue is that Lou does not want to turn the page on this team. Lou has an arm's length of excuses that can use to save his azz.

Not having he full lineup. Injuries crippled this team as there was no depth. The lone bright spot was Gatcomb. A fourth line player. And picking up DeAngelo, who will probably walk come July.

I would not blame Roy for wanting out. But I do not give him a free pass either.

This off season is just as critical if not more critical than when JT left in my opinion.

Forget turning the page on the roster, Lou does not know how to turn the page on his career.

This team was not that good before Barzal got hurt. Players like Pelech and Pulock are train wrecks and Dobson is the same on the d side of the game.

Patrick has made some questionable moves, but Lou is the biggest issue. Patrick should have been allowed to pick his own coaches and should not have to put up with ex Devils stooges. Patrick should have also been allowed to not have Martin and Pierre not start the season with the team. How can the players respect the coach when the GM does not have the back of the coach?

I’ll say it again, Lou will decide what he wants to do. I have zero faith the owners are going to do the right thing here.
