When this approach was applied previously this place didn't die, nor was it starving for traffic. There are so many who likely come here once in awhile, see the hot garbage and leave again for a long period of time - far more than would be not able to post here if the site was moderated in this fashion (again).

You want to rage about how bad the left or the right is? Go to a political discussion forum and fill your boots - try letting the people who come here to talk hockey do that and not have to sift through pages of political pissing contests.
