Let's let them use drug money to pay lawyers to appeal their cases for years, fouling the legal system, costing millions to taxpayers to lodge and feed them. - Fredo
Maybe there's another law from the 1700's that can be used to prevent that?

I don't know enough about who's having enough autority to overturn who but the example you're saying is one example I heard of.
I mean, it might just be me but even if a judge gave me a verbal order, I'd respect it and not play dumb until I have it in writing? - Scabeh
Well they will probably sue him and they can debate wether a local federal judge can overturn a decision from the executive branch of a the whitehouse in the supreme court.
I mean, just seems like gray zones all over. Calling him a nazy over this is A BIT of an exaggeration.
But the country is safer today than it was yesterday and it's what the people of the United-States voted on. Most of his campaign was on this and he's delivering what the people voted for.

yeah, because I'm sure everyone's situation is being asserted accordingly and with due process, there's no way they would deport anyone who isn't a criminal, right..? - Pat1993
Illegal immigration in the US violates Title 8 of the United States Code, specifically Section 1325, so all of them them are criminals.
Are they all members of Tren de Aragua? |

Oh come on, using the constitution of a country and using a law written in the late 1700's to counter a very specific situation that has absolutely nothing to do with the current situation they are trying to resolve/face/act on are two very different things and you know it.

have we all just met? - kicksave856
I feel like this would be a much less friendly conversation if we did.
There's no bad blood here, just friends talking about foreign politics and how much the Sens (frank)ing suck.

I agree, birthright citizenship is dumb and most countries don't have it. Someone who comes to the US for a couple of months while pregnant to deliver her baby so he can be a US citizen is something that should not happen. |

In a completely unrelated subject, I decided to give the "Shoresy" tv series a try.
I ended up binge watching the 4 (frank)ing seasons in a week. It's amazing. |
