He hasn’t played an AHL game yet. Why?

No issue not calling him up as he is rookie with only 30 something AHL games.

Oh I was not aware that he hasn’t even played for the Phantoms yet. Maybe a visa issue? That or the Flyers knowingly traded for an injured player and aren’t passing that off to the media, which unfortunately would not shock me at all any longer with the franchise. Ugh

Guess the Flyers are the only team that has visa issues. Don’t see other teams being affected.

Well I just saw a tweet from today that said he’s still working on his visa so it sounds like a player issue and not a franchise one for once.

I think this is the real problem fans are having right now, in that we really don't know what the plan is. Do the Flyers want to get their 1C in the draft? Or are they targeting a player in a trade this offseason? Maybe an offer sheet? I have no problem being patient if I know what the plan is, and I totally understand if Briere is keeping it tight to the vest and wants to keep all his options open.

With that said, if the Flyers want Misa, they need to tank hard, and that is not what they are doing. They will probably end up with a top 10 pick in a Meh draft class. But to get a player like Misa or Hagens the Flyers have to be picking in the top 3. We have seen this numerous times, that teams in the top 5 are not trading out of that spot. I recall the Bruins in 2015 had the 13th, 14th and 15th picks and they wanted Hanifan who ended up being selected 5th. The Bruins thought they could trade their picks (in a much deeper draft class BTW) and move up to get Hanifan. They were wrong. Last year Briere tried hard to trade into the top 10, to no avail. In 2023, again in a much deeper draft, Briere tried to trade from 7 to 5 to get Michkov, who he believed would not get past Montreal, and failed. Torts and Briere at least publicly are stating they want to win as many games as possible, and cleary Torts is coaching that way, by keeping veterans in the lineup versus calling up more Phantoms. This makes no sense to me.

It makes no sense to fans like you because you BELIEVE the narrative. You listen to scrubs in media that slurp up Philly and are easily manipulated.

You gave your answer right at the beginning. They ARENT doing what they SAY. The actions prove they have no plan. And even if they think there is a plan again as you said it makes no sense.

Use your eyes. Stop even considering what they SAY or the team feed media into your opinions.

They suck. Plain and simple. No plan. No 1c no 1d no real goalie. No playoffs. And certainly no cups.

Its because like Pelletier and Kuzmenko, he was playing in Canada for the Leafs and getting cleared to cross the border these days is a lot tougher and takes longer.

Norris was traded from Canadian team on a Friday. Played in Tampa bay the next night. It’s not a border issue it’s a flyers issue

And so far Gauthier is exactly the player I thought he would be, a good NHL winger. He's not a center and I don't see him being a 40+ goal scorer. With that said, he is a having a decent rookie season playing wing and about 14 minutes a game. But he is nothing special.

I would be willing to bet money he scores 40 in a year during his career.

He is a rookie playing limited minutes. I am sure he proves you wrong.
