There’s some deep issues on this team. I hope it all comes out, but if I had to guess most of it will go back to Drury and the way he handled things.

I honestly do not know how the Rangers can play the game the way they did tonight. 13 shots on goal - half are from your defensemen?? No one had more than 2 shots on goal in the entire game. No forecheck. No urgency. Players should be benched for efforts like this. What an embarrassment. NOBODY on this team has a drive for the playoffs this time of year??? Only Shesty played like it mattered and at least kept the team in the game. Coaching staff needs to go. Some of the players may need to join them in the offseason too. As a player, if you can't get motivated enough to play a better game, sit your ass down and let someone who will give an effort step in. Pathetic is an understatement.

I dont think you need to start over, however... coach, GM and the majority of the old parts of this team need to go. This team needs a new life.

Nothing more to add other than almost zero effort from nearly every player not named Igor. The last two collective pages sums it up.
Scratches need to happen although too little too late. This season is over.

I suggested Josi couple months ago as a possible LD option however people werent a fan of the age and contract. To be honest, you can get Chychrun as a FA, hes not as good as Josi but hes 7 years younger. Id replace Miller with Chychrun.

Their playoff hopes are likely over with Montreal's win surpassing them; & had Columbus not been in a 1-6-0 current stretch, with that one win coming against the ....... NYR at MSG 7-3; they would also be ahead of them.

Dolan needs to act now regarding management and full coaching staff changes to get ahead of the upcoming very sooner to be offseason than expected.

Lavy's key line to reporters regarding their effort was simply, "THERE WAS NOTHING THERE." That coming from the one who should have lit a fire of words to them starting in the 1st period with their multi lapses, given many players little to none effort, with the key exceptions being Igor & Panarin, & only a few more. This led to constant game wide defensive game breakdowns, especially in the high danger zone scoring areas in front of Igor; as well as those up front with near zero forechecking & mistakes also leading to CGY's. mega amount of high danger zone shots.

After that 14-5 embarrassment in being outshot by CGY. in the 1st, there was a lot of press chatter going on at MSG, as per my friend & colleague's words; which grew further with the Rangers next "pressing" for only a huge 3 total SOG in the 2nd, succeeded by a final Eastern playoff WC spot clinging "DESPERATE???" team adding a whole 5 SOG in the 3rd.

This against a CGY. team using their backup Dan Vladar in net, after their #1 starter in Dustin Wolf was pulled after two last night in allowing 5 goals in the Flames 6-2 loss at Toronto.

Because you cant bring in a player like Miller into a rotten core and expect him to magically heal it. You need to excise the rot to move forward,

Putting a bunch of PPG players on a team and thinking they’re just going to win just bc is moronic. Look at TOR; loaded with talent and they’ve won nothing. It’s not how you put together a winning team.
