Not sure if anyone posted yet, but wow
@Frank_Seravalli
The numbers are eye popping. #NHL teams have had 747 fewer power play opportunities year-over-year. Some teams have had 50+ fewer power plays this year!
How? Are players suddenly playing cleaner hockey?
Asked the #NHL and GMs for help explaining today. - TC88
Seravalli talked about that at length on Monday's podcast. NHL officiating has to be among the absolute worst in pro sports. |

I did the other night, she said you are a pecker!!
Yuck yuck, sorry I had too!! That was a layup!!
Trocheck is a guy you have to keep, great leadership and the type of player you need in the playoffs.
This off season is going to be a great unknown, so many moving parts as to what they will do. Im thinking coaching change for sure and Drury will looking to move on from CK20 for sure. Miller and Laffy maybe in play and Im sure he will see if he can move on from Mika. |

We just need one team behind us to pass us and we keep our pick this year. Truly hope that happens because it will give Drury extra motivation (not that he should need it) to turn this team into a wagon next year when Pittsburgh would get our unprotected 1st |

The East is so bad, Rangers may be in the mix until game 82.
The fact that a 55% or worse win% team will make the postseason is pretty sad. |

all of a sudden Montreal looks like juggernaut and then the Isles are a factor
But Red Wings, Blue Jackets and Bruins all died

Actually technically were the worst team among teams with a .522 winning % so right now we’re 11th in the lotto and can get the #1 pick !
If we magically ended up with the 1OA I’d see if whoever had #2 desperately wanted Schaefer over a center and trade back one spot for Misa |

It’s why I didn’t get excited for zibs little 10 game run of good hockey. He is just as lazy and dead as the rest of them when it matters - TPC
This. The quicker he is gone the better. Or take a huge pay cut and be a PK specialist with limited 4th line minutes |

Im sure we will try and sign Chychrun
No way Buff does that deal, What has Othmann even shown?
Boston might do the deal but they wont want CK20, they are looking to retool not get older.
Lauzon doesnt move the needle from what we have already.
I dont think Mika is gonna waive. - Brukie
Othmann maybe hasnt shown much here, but also consider the environment he stepped into. Hes been a stud so far at all levels. Trading a 29yo up-coming FA for a 22yo with potential.
Retooling can take many forms, and it also includes your depth forwards. Its unlikely they trade Big Z, but Kreider Im sure theyd take a chance on with only a year left on the contract. Its a contract that needs to go.
Lauzon is big and gets like 250-300 hits a year. But maybe youre not a Big D chaser like some people here.
I agree, moving Zib would be a huge issue. Too bad you cant restructure contracts like in other sports. |

After that puke fest last night, I admit the season is probably over. I wouldn’t be surprised if Dolan shows Lavy the and Druey the door. |

I doubt he would stay if that was the offer. lol
Honestly, there are a few players i don't want to see next year. Zib, Kreids, K Miller (such a god damned disappointment) and Schneider I'm leaning towards. |

He hasn’t been playing with top line talent, so I challenge him to make the roster next year. |

As to Eastern Conf. parity per its continuous changing effects via some of its playoff contending teams' inconsistent play, East C. teams' playoff chances have changed drastically since Sat's. games' results of just 4 days ago.
(1) After two straight wins Thurs. in OT at MIN., & in Reg. at Columbus Sat.; starting Sunday, the Rangers chances to reach a specific playoff spot were:
* a 32% chance of earning WC#2,
* a 9% chance of earning WC#1,
* a 12% chance of finishing 3rd in the Metro. Div. ahead of the Devils.
That's a 53% combined total chance of earning any of those 3 playoff spots, and in contrast, a 47% chance of missing the postseason overall.
(2) After NYR reg. losses on Sun. & Tue., & in combo with the competitions results beginning Sunday, their playoff chances as of today (3/19) dipped to:
* a 13% chance to earn WC#2
* a 2% chance to earn WC#1
* a 4% chance to finish 3rd in the Metro. Div.
That's currently only a 19% combined total chance of earning a playoff spot, and an 81% chance of missing the postseason overall.
Furthermore, the Rangers combined "Magic Number of Points Lost, and their Competition's Points Earned," (for now by Montreal owning the 2nd WC spot) is 26 PTS.; (or 13 in combination, Montreal Wins & Rangers Reg. Losses), for the NYR to be eliminated from reaching the postseason in any means.
But teams' playoff chances can change very fast via any means during this crazed NHL season. |
