I can still remember the smell of what it's like being out in Montreal when all the snow melts - TheMussel
I live in the east end of Ottawa. Most people are pretty good at picking up after their dog but there are still a few that don't care. Went for a walk last night after the game and went through the near by park, the smell of old dog poop was very obvious in some areas. |

Morning gents. Tip of the second cup of coffee to you.
Gearing up for a day hunting fossils tomorrow. The whole crew is coming. My wife, my daughter, and my grandson. It's the first time out as a group since April of last year.
I have to run out and buy a life jacket today. Somehow one of our's went missing in the garage somewhere. I think the gremlins must have taken it. It was one of the nice expensive Body Glove jackets also, not the cheap-ass ones like the type I will buy today.
I also need to buy a foam pool noodle to refurbish one of my floating sifters that has become a bit ratty from exposure to the elements and heavy use.
My creaky back and legs are already tired just thinking about tomorrow :
Get up at 6am and be on the road by 7am.
Drive two hours to the river.
Paddle an hour and a half upstream to the the hunting area.
Spend a few hours digging a hole to clear through to Indochina.
Get back to the boat ramp, load up, and drive two hours back home.
Collapse in the shower and complain to my wife how I am too old for this poop now.
Do it again next week. |

If allergies didn't completely prevent me from breathing through my nose when spring shows up, I could totally relate. |

Right?
I'm glad it seems my girlfriend's genes seem to have won this battle so far with my kids.

There is nothing beneficial about allergies.
Trust me.
When I was in high school, I used to get hay fever so bad, I would wake up in the morning and my eyes would be glued shut because the guck my eyes produced all night and spat out would smear on my eyelashes and dry.
I'd have to feel my way to the bathroom and soak my eyelashes for a few minutes, and then scrape the guck off.
Sexy, I know! |

I don't have any allergies. I am cursed with the ability to smell spring dog doo.

Rangers game at MSG.
Rangers are resting at home today while the Leafs play Colorado - one of the best teams in the league, then hop on a plane and fly to NYC.
One thing is for certain: if the roles were reversed, Toronto would be guaranteed to lose the game. - Atomic Wedgie
hopefully the Leafs have all their customs paper in order.
Don't want any of them in an ICE detention center and be lost for 3 months. |

Just looking at the weather forecast, tonight may be a great night to watch my first game of 2025 in the backyard.
It just means I need to find an hour beforehand to clean up all the dog poop of 2025. - Atomic Wedgie
I did that on the weekend. It was traumatizing. 😂 |

Gary Bettman reiterates that the NHL learned yesterday of Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin's discussions about a U.S.-Russia hockey series: "I'm not going to speculate or anything else. It is what it is."
umm why is this donkey negotiating a hockey series with Russia? and didnt even talk to the NHL about it?

Well if they decide to go ahead and have the best USA players outside the NHL play against the KHL players, they can do whatever the (frank) they want.
But I doubt they thought that far ahead.

I think Ottawa still misses playoffs. I see a big losing streak coming up...seems to be a pattern.
Habs though I see them sneaking in. |

The idea was both NHL and KHL players. Seems stupid with the Olympics on in February. Can’t see owners saying yes to this.
Winner gets Canada? |

Putin suggested it and Trump said cool. I think the idea was using players from both leagues, not necessarily one league vs the other. Maybe Vlad laces up |
