I don't know. The Islanders are 3-2-3 in their last 8 and those games were against 3 definite playoff teams (1-1-1), 3 borderline playoff teams (1-0-2) and 2 non-playoff teams (1-1).

With 12 remaining games against Vancouver, Tampa twice, Carolina, Minnesota, Washington twice, Jersey, the Rangers and Columbus (playoff or fringe playoff teams) - along with Nashville, and Philadelphia. That's a tough hill to climb.

For me Montreal has the easiest path to the WC2 spot.

Reilly’s contract was considered a hometown discount when signed. Which was also why he got a NMC. Chychrun is a problem child that is injury prone and this is his first decent season. It’s an insane overpay.
