I still think the sens crash and burn here...we'll see.

Islanders look really good lately, they could sneak in.

CBJ a threat but their lack of structure will hurt them down the stretch.

Habs, Sens, Isles and Rangers all have legit shots at making it.

Islanders still fighting for it despite trading Nelson is impressive.

Sens are likely to be in the playoffs. Adding Cozens was just what they needed imho.

Habs are in full control of their destiny, if they keep playing like they have since the 4 nations, they can do it. But if they don't.... it's alright. They are a year early from schedule in most people's minds.

The Rangers making it after that lackluster season would be boring as hell.

Sorokin has been so good. I think they make it.

It wouldn't completely shock me to see them overtake the Devils and for the Devils to make it scary down the stretch for themselves.

I don't know. The Islanders are 3-2-3 in their last 8 and those games were against 3 definite playoff teams (1-1-1), 3 borderline playoff teams (1-0-2) and 2 non-playoff teams (1-1).

With 12 remaining games against Vancouver, Tampa twice, Carolina, Minnesota, Washington twice, Jersey, the Rangers and Columbus (playoff or fringe playoff teams) - along with Nashville, and Philadelphia. That's a tough hill to climb.

For me Montreal has the easiest path to the WC2 spot.

Sens would sweep them and then get swept.

Sometimes being a malcontent works when you prove you're really good.

Guessing this is because John Carlson has like 2 years max as their top defender and this is the internal swap over.

- AdamFrench

His 2025-26 salary as compared to Rielly's salary would be $7.75m - I think Chychrun is probably worth more than Rielly. I do think Rielly is overpaid, but . . .

Morgan is overpaid. Morgan should have been in the $6 - 6.5m range but at that time, teams were overpaying dmen.
Chickerun is 26 probably should be closer to 7.75-8...but with the cap going up, i guess he weaseled an extra million

That would be amazing if Ottawa, Montreal and Toronto all made the playoffs. Some extra classic chocolatey chapters in the great book of hockey are on the way friends. The Leafs with a huge opportunity to drop a rock hard turd into the punchbowl.

Reilly’s contract was considered a hometown discount when signed. Which was also why he got a NMC. Chychrun is a problem child that is injury prone and this is his first decent season. It’s an insane overpay.

in 2021 he had 18 goals and 41 points in 56 games. that seems decent

career averaged 40 points /82
agree its an overpay, but not insane

Come, stay a while, and listen ...

I will tell you the tale of the fall and redemption of Morgan Rielly.

Rielly has sucked exhaust pipe this season. We know it. He knows it. His teammates know it.

What nobody knows, except Rielly, is that he has been saving up all his energy, rage, desire, and heart for the playoffs.

When the first round begins, he will be born again hard. He will do his best Hedman Conn Smythe impression and dominate. OT winner to clinch the series? Rielly. Diving desperation sprawl that eliminates what was a sure goal to tie the game in the dying moments? Rielly. Sticking up for a teammate who got smoked on a dirty hit? Rielly KO's the mother(frank)er.

After he lifts both the Cup and the Conn Smythe, you'll go home from the parade to find him in your den (frank)ing your sister - and you won't mind.

Thanks for listening. Now call your bookie.
