No need for Matheson because we have Hutson. Matheson would be better off on another team and the Habs use him in a package to get better while he’s on a friendly deal. There are younger, better options out there to help us more ON the ice. He’s not the best example on-ice.

Great skater, giveaway machine

yeah, I find that's a stretch, he's brought way more positive than anything to this team, playing against the opposing teams' best players. we see things differently, but it's all good.

yeah, I'd say they did pretty well all things considered with Guhle out. of course it isn't perfect but a lot of it is due to a lack of experience imho. I really don't see a need for an "overhaul", that's for sure.

Hey! This season….theyre right where they wanted to be! I’m loving g that they’re in the mix. It’s just the overall on-ice product I’m concerned with. And resigning armia and Dvo isnt smart.

They need at least 2 better dmen than they have now. Or….to be coached and deployed differently

Yep. All good. I just find he’s making more rookie mistakes more consistently than Hutson is.

Well, last night was a great example of our defensive system LOST in their own zone. Less than 2 minutes in and you’re leaving Michkov wide open on the slot? Can’t blame fatigue

Tie game 1-1. I think they’re fairing a bit better because the Canes are a bit undisciplined tonight.

Even tho the Canes are on a power play right now hahaha!

their 2 previous games before tonight were among their worst performances of the season, so of course if you look at that sample it seems pretty bad. we know they can play better than that, a lack of consistency is pretty common for young teams.

I agree. We have some dedicated players for sure! But we need consistency. Like Suzuki, Caufield, Hutson, Ghule bring every night! Need to stack up some players like that!

But hey, you never know. You fill that second line up properly with DemiGod and FA or trade for 2C and things may just fall into place. Team sports are (frank)ed like that. It’s about chemistry more than a ridiculously talented squad. And the Habs are building an amazing team/organizational culture.

Hey! IF the Habs make the playoffs….is MSL considered for the Jack Adams??

he might be considered but the winner will surely be Carbery in Washington.

Oh yeah!! Totally forgot about him. But their success probably falls on the GM for making super smart deals that were targeted with precision

whatever the reason is there weren't a whole lot of people who were expecting them to have this kind of season, after barely making the playoffs and being swept in 4 last year.

And anyone that can get Pierre Luc Dubois to play hockey should get the Nobel (frank)ing grand prize! Let’s be honest here….

odd situation where I almost wish the laffs win, in a series where both teams completely obliterate each other.

Wow

WOW

Your hate runs deep. I respect your stance.

I told my brother that he ever got drafted by the Leafs that I’d disown him.

Leafs and Bruins……(frank) them in the goat ass!!

because of their lack of playoff success I don't hate the leafs as much, them losing in the first round has just become an amusing tradition for me lol.

best Leafs team I've seen in quite awhile, they might win round 1 if they face OTT. that should be it though.

heard the coach earlier today say they're alright on offense, they have enough offense. it's on defense they need to concentrate.

they've allowed 12 goals in the 2 games before tonight, I'd say tightening things up was pretty necessary lol.
